Among the special purpose buildings are the telephone company’s standby stations. These structures are tightly packed with heavy batteries, and getting them in and out is a tough job. Gearing Solutions® gearhead design proved to be the solution; we built the entire winch. It was only 6.5 inch x 6.5 inch (normal winch size is 9 inch x 9 inch). Roller gears will absorb the shock load of the batteries delivering many years of service. The design of the application was awarded a prize for the complete package design.
