ROBOTIC DRIVE

This Gearing Solutions® gearhead drives the welding head on an automated welding repair unit to replace worn welds on turbine walls. 

The robotic drive removes the damage weld, lays a new weld, and then cleans up the excess weld material. 

Smooth operation and ease of assembly were features.  This four stage planetary unit produced a 256:1 ratio.
